Our Story

ALÚ takes its name from aluminium, a material defined by lightness, strength and transformation.

In Irish (Gaeilge), aluminium is alúmanam. The accent — the fada — inspired the name ALÚ, a subtle tribute to Ireland, the country I have called home for nearly 20 years.

As a Brazilian living in Ireland, ALÚ reflects my journey between cultures. Our pieces are sourced and crafted in Brazil, shaped by skilled hands and creative heritage, then brought to Ireland where the vision evolved into a contemporary jewellery brand.

ALÚ stands for transformation:

of material, of identity, and of vision into values.

Our Materials

At ALU, material choice is intentional.

We work primarily with recycled aluminium and stainless steel, modern metals selected for their strength, lightness, and durability.

Recycled aluminium is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and infinitely recyclable. It allows us to create bold forms without unnecessary weight.

Stainless steel adds structural integrity and long-term wear, resisting tarnish and everyday use.

In selected collections, we combine metal with leather, textiles, and stones, introducing contrast, texture, and movement.

We don’t use disposable base metals.

We design pieces made to last beyond seasons and trends.

Modern materials. Conscious design.
