ALÚ is a jewellery brand inspired by aluminium, symbolising lightness, strength, and transformation. Its name comes from the Irish word alúmanam, paying tribute to Ireland, where the brand was developed.

The pieces are crafted in Brazil and brought to Ireland, reflecting a blend of cultures. At its core, ALÚ represents transformation—not only of materials and places, but also of identity—highlighting how jewellery can enhance both appearance and confidence.

Meet The Founders

Mariana Simizu – Co-Founder

Mariana Simizu is a business leader, personal branding advocate, and Co-Founder of ALÚ Jewellery. With a strong track record in developing businesses, teams, and brands, her work has always been centered around people, growth, and purposeful outcomes.

Mariana is passionate about supporting and mentoring women in building confidence, visibility, and professional identity. She believes personal brand is not about self-promotion, but about clearly communicating who you are, what you stand for, and the value you bring.

For Mariana, jewellery is part of that identity, a form of expression, confidence, and presence. This belief became one of the ideas behind ALÚ: jewellery not only as an accessory, but as part of how a woman presents herself to the world.

Poliano Polizelli – Co-Founder

Poliano Polizelli is a project manager with over 15 years of experience working in the online travel industry and digital marketplaces. Throughout his career, he has worked with digital platforms, branding, and online business environments, developing strong expertise in visual identity, digital structure, and online customer experience.

Beyond his professional background, Poliano represents something equally important — he is a strong example of partnership and support behind female entrepreneurship. As Co-Founder of ALÚ Jewellery, he is not only part of the business but also a role model for men who actively support their partners’ ambitions, growth, and success. His presence in ALÚ reflects the idea that building a business is often a shared journey, built on partnership, trust, and mutual support.

Our Materials

At ALU, material choice is intentional.

We work primarily with recycled aluminium and stainless steel, modern metals selected for their strength, lightness, and durability.

Recycled aluminium is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and infinitely recyclable. It allows us to create bold forms without unnecessary weight.
Stainless steel adds structural integrity and long-term wear, resisting tarnish and everyday use. In selected collections, we combine metal with leather, textiles, and stones, introducing contrast, texture, and movement.

We don’t use disposable base metals. We design pieces made to last beyond seasons and trends.

The Designer

Ana Solci is a Brazilian jewellery designer and founder of Alumina, with nearly 20 years of experience in the fashion industry.

She creates contemporary, authorial jewellery in recycled aluminium, blending artistic expression with wearable design.

Her career includes successful ventures in Portugal, participation in Portugal Fashion Week, and the development of specialised jewellery lines, all reflecting a strong focus on design, material, and identity.
